Fluorescent whitening agent OB is an organic compound with the chemical name 2,5-bis (5-tert-butyl-2-benzoxazolyl) thiophene, molecular formula C ₂₆ H ₂₆ N ₂ O ₂ S, and appears as a light yellow powder or milky white powder. This substance has a melting point range of 196-203 ℃, excellent thermal stability, and is soluble in organic solvents such as alkanes and mineral oils. It is suitable for plastic processing fields such as injection molding blown film color masterbatch, PVC building materials, PE/PP materials, etc. At the application level, when the addition amount is 0.0001% -0.05%, it can significantly improve the brightness of transparent plastics and synergistically enhance the vividness of colored products with dyes.

Main Applications

- Plastic processing: suitable for whitening PVC building materials, PS food containers, ABS electronic device casings, PE packaging films and other products.

- Fiber processing: used for improving the whiteness of polyester fibers and nylon fabrics, and can achieve secondary whitening in recycled polyester waste.

- Paint and ink: When added to paint and ink, the early yellowing rate is low, and it has good compatibility with acrylic resin systems.
