Basic Properties

· Appearance: White or light yellow powder or flakes
· Density: 1.5-1.7 g/cm³
· Softening Point: 90-120°C
· Solubility: Soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, esters, ketones and other organic solvents
· Thermal Stability: Begins to decompose at 130°C
Chemical Properties:
· Excellent resistance to acid, alkali, and salt corrosion
· Good water resistance and impermeability
· Good flame retardancy, self-extinguishing

· Non-flammable but may produce toxic gases when decomposed
· Use water, foam, dry powder or carbon dioxide for fire fighting
· Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus
