  • Health Hazards:

  • Physical Hazards:

    • Flammable liquid and vapor. Vapors form explosive mixtures with air. Risk of fire and explosion upon contact with heat or flames.

  • Protective Measures:

    • Ventilation: Use only in a well-ventilated area (e.g., fume hood) to prevent vapor accumulation.

    • Fire Prevention: Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, and oxidizers. Use explosion-proof equipment.

    • Personal Protection:

      • Wear chemical safety goggles and face shield.

      • Wear impermeable gloves (e.g., nitrile rubber) and protective clothing.

      • Use a respirator for organic vapors/acid gases (as it's weakly basic, acidic gases might form in some scenarios). Use self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in high-concentration areas.

    • Storage: Store in a cool, well-ventilated place. Keep container tightly closed. Separate from oxidizers, strong acids.

  • First Aid:

    • Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Keep airways clear. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped, give artificial respiration and seek medical attention immediately.

    • Skin Contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately. Rinse skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

    • Eye Contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water or saline for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.

    • Spill: Eliminate all ignition sources. Absorb with sand, dry lime, or soda ash and collect in container. Can also be rinsed with plenty of water, but prevent entry into drains and confined spaces.
