Flammable liquid, low flash point; may form flammable vapor‑air mixtures. Reacts violently with water, releasing heat and corrosive difluoroacetic acid fumes. Moisture‑sensitive; generates corrosive fumes in humid air.

Personal Protection

Wear chemical‑resistant goggles, full‑face shield, chemical‑resistant gloves and acid‑proof protective clothing. Use in well‑ventilated fume hood; avoid breathing vapors or mists. No eating, drinking or smoking while handling this substance.

First‑Aid Measures

Inhalation: Remove victim to fresh air; seek immediate medical assistance if breathing difficulty occurs. Skin contact: Immediately rinse skin with large amounts of running water for at least 15 minutes; remove contaminated clothing and get medical help. Eye contact: Flush eyes continuously with plenty of water for minimum 15 minutes; urgent medical treatment is required. Ingestion: Do NOT induce vomiting; rinse mouth and call for medical support right away.
