Main Applications
Drying & Adsorption: Processed into silica gel, widely used as a desiccant (in packaging for food, drugs, electronics), adsorbent, and catalyst support.
Rubber Industry: Used as a reinforcing agent added to rubber products (e.g., tires, shoe soles) to enhance their strength, abrasion resistance, and tear resistance.
Food Industry: Used as an anti-caking agent (E551) to prevent powdered foods (e.g., milk powder, seasoning powder) from clumping.
Toothpaste: Serves as a mild abrasive and thickener.
Chemical Raw Material: Used in the manufacture of other silicon compounds like silicates, diatomaceous earth, and molecular sieves.
Others: Used as a filler or carrier in coatings, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, and other fields.

Health Hazards:
· The substance is non-toxic. However, prolonged inhalation of its dust may cause mechanical irritation to the respiratory tract and potentially lead to pneumoconiosis (silicosis).
· Causes mild eye irritation.
· Ingestion of large amounts may cause digestive discomfort.Handling Protection:
· Wear a dust respirator (N95 grade) when handling powder to minimize dust inhalation.
· Safety glasses are advised to prevent dust from entering the eyes.

· The substance is non-combustible.
· No toxic flammable gases are generated in a fire.
· Use any extinguishing agent (water, foam, dry chemical, CO2) suitable for surrounding fire.
· No special protection required for firefighters.
